Making fun of callers’ accents isn’t off the table for WFAN’s Keith McPherson.
McPherson mocked a caller’s accent and then repeatedly doubled down on his decision after being called out on it by another caller in a cringeworthy clip from the overnight host’s show following the Mets’
“I listen to a lot of this radio station and people take L’s, people take hits, but don’t make fun of a guy whose got a foreign accent because he’s making fun of your take. Come on, man, you’re better than that,” he said. “That’s too low of a move for someone whose on a radio station this popular in New York City.”“That’s a return serve,” McPherson replied. “He came at me. All I could make out…”
It would have been easy for McPherson to at least acknowledge his caller’s point, but McPherson kept insisting he did no wrong.
