NSW Health is urging people to monitor for measles symptoms after a second case of the infectious disease was recorded in Western Sydney.

"It can take up to 18 days for symptoms to appear after an exposure, so it is really important to stay vigilant if you've been in the locations and if you or your child develops symptoms, please call ahead to your GP to ensure you do not spend time in the waiting room with other patients," NSW Health's Director of Communicable Diseases Dr Christine Selvey said.

This case is the second in Western Sydney in two weeks with an infant contracting the disease after a trip to India before they were diagnosed at The Children's Hospital at Westmead.Dunn and Farrugia Fencing and GatesFriday, March 24 from 12pm to 5pmWomra Crescent GP SurgeryFriday, March 31 from 11am to 12.30pmThursday, March 23 to Sunday April 2Friday, March 24 from 10.
