The Theewaterskloof Municipality in the Western Cape appointed Wilfred Solomons-Johannes as the acting municipal manager following the resignation of Boy Manqoba Ngubo last week.

During a special council sitting on Monday, Solomons-Johannes was appointed for a period of three months. The council Speaker, Derick Appel, said they respected Ngubo's decision to explore other career opportunities, and they wished him all the best.Solomons-Johannes is a seasoned municipal official, who previously held senior positions in the City of Cape Town. He has also previously acted as Theewaterskloof's municipal manager.
