Western Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge was confronted by unusual scenes after his team’s narrow loss to the Sydney Swans on Thursday night. It was devastating loss for the Dogs who almost pulled off a miraculous victory despite some brutal injuries to key players and controversial calls at the game’s death. A crowd of just over 27,000 watched the match unfold at Marvel Stadium and witnessed all the drama.
Others also observed that “plenty” of journalists made John Longmire’s post-match presser. It should be also be noted that AFL coaches are typically so careful not to create unwanted headlines in post-match press conferences that many come across as — and this is not to sound disrespectful — boring.
