Authorities are investigating a suspected murder-suicide in West Valley, where five family members were found dead, including both parents and three children. A 17-year-old son was found injured but alive. Police have yet to determine a motive.

Police said there’s no apparent motive on why a father would shoot and kill his wife and three of kids, and severely injure his teen son. Police said at a press conference on Wednesday there was no history of domestic violence, no note and no motive for this crime.
‘We understand how frustrating it is for an incident of this magnitude and to not understand why,’ West Valley Police spokesperson Roxanne Vainuku said. ‘We know people want to know why. We want to know why. Why did this happen?’ he said. ‘Because there’s multiple homicides, they need to make sure the person responsible is actually the person they believe it is,’ Bertram said. ‘And part of that is going to be, intent is going to be there.’ ‘There’s got to be something,’ he said. ‘And a lot of times, through interviewing relatives, interviewing coworkers, neighbors, there’s something that you discover.’ Until then, many people, like the ones who live in the neighborhood, are going to wonder how this could’ve happened
