West University Place police said on Monday they do not suspect foul play after a 38-year-old man was reported missing six days ago.
Brett Detamore disappeared on June 21 from the West University area. His vehicle was found the same day burned at Bear Creek Pioneers Park in the city.
The car was heavily burned, and law enforcement were not able to find identifying information inside. Detamore left him home around 4 a.m., and police said they saw video footage of his car leaving the area. He was not being followed or following a car.The Harris County Constable’s Office for Precinct 1, Precinct 5 and Texas EquuSearch searched the park, but the man was not found.“Its really hard for me to understand if there is no foul play involved, how a person could put his family through this kind of trauma,” said Ken Walker, the West University Chief of Police.
