WEST JORDAN — A West Jordan man is facing a felony charge accusing him of kidnapping another man, having him strip to his underwear and holding him captive for allegedly stealing a dog — even though the man didn't really believe the victim took his dog.

Jadon Randy Jones, 23, was charged Friday in 3rd District Court with aggravated kidnapping, a first-degree felony. On May 18, a man "was ripped down to the ground and several people attacked" him, including one who "had wrapped a belt around their hand and punched" the victim, according to charging documents. Later, he said he discovered one of his dogs was missing."Jones admitted he didn't believe had anything to do with the theft of his dog, but was the last of that friend group left at the house, so Jones confronted because he wanted to call his friends back to the house.
