West Ham is open to selling Mohammed Kudus to Arsenal in the January transfer window for a substantial fee. This comes amid growing interest from Arsenal, who need a winger and have been tracking Kudus for some time. The 24-year-old Ghanaian international has been a key player for West Ham since joining from Ajax in 2023 but is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, forcing Arsenal to explore their options.
West Ham are prepared to accept “huge” offers for Mohammed Kudus in the January transfer window amid growing interest from Arsenal .
This is according to former Hammers senior scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected at the London Stadium, as he exclusively toldthat the 23-year-old is set to be sidelined for “many weeks” with a hamstring injury, forcing Arsenal to consider their options in the transfer market.Kudus, 24, has become a key player at West Ham, having made 59 appearances, scored 17 goals and provided 18 assists since joining from Ajax in 2023.
However, the Hammers are thought to be open to his potential exit as they feel they can make significant profit on a player they bought for £38million just 18 months ago.Kudus has also attracted interest from the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City ahead of the January window and has been tipped as one to watch next month.
Brown, who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after spending over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, insisted that he expects a deal to take place but the offer will have to be enough to tempt West Ham.“I know West Ham aren’t exactly desperate to keep hold of Kudus because he can go from one extreme to the other, he can light up a game or fade into the background.
“For Arsenal, I can see that happening, because if you look at their wingers they like to rotate and change with different types of players, Martinelli, Trossard, Sterling etc.“But when you look at it, Arsenal need a winger and have been interested in him for a while, and West Ham are willing to let him go, so it makes a lot of sense.”
