West Ham want to sign highly-rated Eintracht Frankfurt striker Omar Marmoush in January,, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that the striker “almost joined” Nottingham Forest in the summer, but they could not convince him to make the move.
Marmoush has attracted interest as a result of his flying start to the season with Frankfurt, scoring six goals and providing three assists in just five games as he leads the Bundesliga in goals. That form is in stark contrast to the current options at West Ham, with Michail Antonio, Danny Ings and Niclas Fullkrug registering one goal and one assist between them.the club are expected to entertain offers for Antonio in January, with Ings also expected to leave, making way for a new forward. After signing Fullkrug from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, West Ham have already set their sights on new options after a slow start to the season.
The German striker has made just four appearances under Julen Lopetegui, with just one of those coming from the start, and has failed to find the net so far.
