West Ham players defended fans and family members from AZ Alkmaar ultras WHUFC UECL
Fellow former Hammer Joe Cole added: “It’s absurd. Grown men attacking the West Ham fans.
“I haven’t seen what happened last week but you get the same feeling what happened tonight is what happened last week,” he added in reference to a group of Alkmaar family and friends being moved from their seats by security at the London Stadium. “I feel a little bit ashamed it happened in our stadium. It should not be happening.”
“As a footballer when you get to finals, there is only one objective and that’s to win,” Rice told BT Sport.
