Birmingham City Council President Pro Tem Crystal Smitherman said a West End 'redevelopment effort has been a long time coming.'
A part of Birmingham’s West End area near Princeton Hospital could look a lot different after action this week by the Birmingham City Council.
Once the site is acquired, the city will look at proposals and select a developer, with officials saying a mixed-use, mixed-income development would be the right fit for the site.
