AFTERMATH: One home is left standing on a street in Talent, Oregon, after the Alameda Drive Fire torched the surrounding structures leaving only charred ruins behind.

Hundreds of wildfires have left at least eight dead as the flames rip through 14 states and several people have been unaccounted for or injured.

"Over the last 24 hours, Oregon has experienced unprecedented fires, with devastating consequences across the state," Brown said in a statement Thursday."Our number-one priority right now is saving lives.
