Former talk show host Wendy Williams allegedly has no plans to return to television, but that doesn’t mean she won’t be speaking.her attorney Joe Tacopina said Williams is considering focusing on speaking engagements and advocacy work for people under guardianships.
“It’s just so unjust, and quite despicable,” Tacopina told the outlet. “What she said to me more than once, is, ‘Joe, I wish I weren’t in this situation but if someone is going to be in this situation, better me with a platform, so I can expose the system.”she has expressed interest in going on tour to speak about her case. One source said, “It’s just an idea, but she thinks it’s important. She wants to maybe do panels, and help facilitate it and to protect families from guardianships. “She wants to talk about how to get out of it, and all of the red flags. If there’s one thing Wendy knows how to do, it’s talk. She wants to bring this issue to the stage.”Earlier this month a report suggested she had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia – claims she has denied. Tacopina told “Extra” he believes the report is false and said he suspects Williams’ guardian was involved in leaking it. “Clearly People can tippy-toe around it. They won’t say it. No one has seen this report yet. Not even Wendy. Not us. Not her guardianship attorneys,” he claimed. The attorney added her next step will be a medical exam by a neutral physician. “Then, hopefully the guardianship attorneys will push this judge to make a ruling, and if it’s the right ruling, then game, set match. And if it’s the wrong ruling, I’ll get involved in a big way because we are going to need a jury to resolve this.” Williams spoke briefly with Page Six during a recent outing in New York, saying, “Do I sound like I have dementia to you?”Stay Connected
