Wendy Williams has vehemently denied being diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia despite her guardian's claims that her condition will worsen. The former talk show host's guardian is seeking a new medical evaluation following Williams' public denial.

Wendy Williams has denied being diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, prompting a new court filing from her guardian, Sabrina Morrissey. In a recent radio appearance, Williams vehemently refuted the claims, stating, 'I don't have frontotemporal dementia...it's disgusting. That's a very rare thing for anybody to have.' She went on to express her disapproval of a Lifetime documentary about her life, which she found to be exploitative.

Despite Williams' public denial, Morrissey argued in court documents that the former talk show host's condition will 'only get worse and there is no cure.' Morrissey's legal action against A&E seeks 'substantial monetary damages' to cover Williams' healthcare needs. The guardian's filing highlights a 'formal diagnosis' by doctors at Weill Cornell Medical Center, which states that Williams suffers from frontotemporal dementia (FTD) and primary progressive aphasia (PPA). Additionally, there is a judicial finding that declares Williams 'legally incapacitated.' Morrissey is requesting a 'new medical evaluation' involving comprehensive neurological and psychological testing by a specialist. She believes that the question of Williams' capacity to make decisions in her own best interest requires 'renewed careful consideration by qualified experts,' rather than speculation in the media
