Suddenly, a franchise that was running QB sneaks on second and third down to set up punts last year hasfor winning football. It is nothing short of a transformation.
The Jets, of course, know what can happen when a running back scores in that same situation. They stole a victory in Cleveland when Nick Chubb gave them a second life — a win that, at the time, looked like a happy little fluke. It does no longer. This looks like a team that has found a winning formula. This is also a team that, in its next four games, plays at Denver, vs. New England, vs. Buffalo and at New England. If theyfor real, we’re going to know for sure before Thanksgiving. For now, though, perhaps it’s best to just savor the chance to play meaningful football in October and November — and a win in Green Bay that might be the best this franchise has had in a half decade.
