The upcoming IT prequel series Welcome to Derry doesn't have much information to go on yet, but according to a new report from The Illuminerdi, we know more
The latest report notes that production for the series is searching for a Black male lead in their 30s to play “a patriotic Army man.” This character will live in Derry in the 1960s and will be trying to bring together the community of Derry in a rough time. According to the report, he will be a pilot and will play a major role.
As far as child actors go, the report also mentions that HBO is looking to cast a group of young children in various leading roles, although not too much has been revealed on that yet. According to the report, however, the group could resemble the Losers Club from theThe prequel series will reportedly also include the origins of Pennywise the Clown, the mysterious and supernatural figure that haunts Derry.
