WekiMeki’s KimDoyeon Diagnosed With COVID-19
On August 26, the group’s agency Fantagio released the following statement:On the evening of August 25, our artist Weki Meki’s Kim Doyeon preemptively underwent a rapid antigen test when she suddenly did not feel well after completing her scheduled activity and tested positive [for the virus].
Kim Doyeon did not overlap paths with the seven other members of Weki Meki, but they preemptively used self-testing kits, and we have confirmed that all of their results are negative. Currently, Kim Doyeon has no symptoms other than body aches, and she will focus on treatment and recovery in accordance with the guidelines of the health authorities.
We will inform you of the artist’s resumption of activities in the future after checking at the time her quarantine is over. We ask for your understanding for causing concern to many people, and we will continue to consider the health of artists and staff first. We will do our best for our artist’s quick recovery by complying with the guidelines of the health authorities.
