Concrete pavement patching, and asphalt paving underway
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation reminds travelers that lane restrictions are anticipated on Interstate 81 this weekend, April 19-22, and the weekend of May 3-5PennDOT says that concrete pavement patching, and asphalt paving will be performed on a section of the interstate near Carlisle in Cumberland County .Lane restrictions for concrete pavement testing will continue weeknights on I-81 in the Carlisle area.
Work will be in the right lanes of I-81 during the first weekend and in the left lanes the second weekend. Rain dates are set for April 26 to April 29, and May 10 to May 12.Weather permitting, nighttime lane closures will continue from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Sunday through Thursday nights for the next several weeks for concrete pavement testing. Restrictions will be in place in both the northbound and southbound directions of I-81 from Mile 47.2 to Mile 52.2.
