After an overcast start to the morning, sunny spells are forecast for much of the afternoon with the finest weather expected into the early evening. From Monday, temperatures will get even warmer with the mercury reaching highs of 25C.Forecasters have predicted that there could be a 'possible heatwave' next week in some parts of the UK if mid-20 temperatures 'remain in situ for three consecutive days'.
"Some central and southern areas are likely to see temperatures approaching the values needed for heatwave conditions. Heatwave conditions need to remain in situ for three consecutive days, and by the beginning to middle of next week it is possible that some parts of the UK could be reaching heatwave thresholds.
