Helena quarterback Nate Ferguson earned 63 percent of the 31,859 votes cast in the weekly survey after notching 232 total yards in a Class 6A, Region 3 runaway win over Pelham. The 5-foot-11, 150-pound junior picked up 20,117 votes in the poll. He completed 16-of-20 passes for 190 yards and a pair of touchdowns and ran for two more scores in the 42-2 win over the Panthers.Oct. 14, 2024, 6:46 p.m.
Fultondale running back Jeremiah Jackson was third in the poll with 8 percent of the total.
