The basic plotline of the show revolves around Nancy Botwin, a mother of two, who starts selling weed to support her family after the unexpected demise of her husband. This time out, Nancy uproots her family to move to Ren Mar, where Andy’s father is waiting for her arrival. Meanwhile, Doug, Dean, and Andy falsely accuse Celia of running the drug operation to save Nancy.
Having debuted in 2005, the one-of-a-kind series has gone on to amass a significant fan following, owing to its unique subject matter. The fourth season opens with Nancy relocating her family to Ren Mar, to establish a new life. However, she soon realizes escaping her past is not going to be easy. Back at home, Doug, Dean, and Andy put the blame on Celia, leading to her arrest. Nancy returns to business after ensuring her family’s safety in Ren Mar.
Aside from its intriguing narrative, the satirical series also boasts of a talented crew in front of the camera. Mary-Louise Parker leads the pack as Nancy Botwin, with Elizabeth Perkins, Allie Grant, and Justin Kirk also playing pivotal roles.
