Police have carried out searches and asked for witnesses to come forward
Detectives investigating a fight where weapons were wielded and a man was injured are appealing for witnesses to come forward. Officers were called shortly before 3.30pm on Friday, April 19, to reports of an altercation involving three men on Plumptre Way, Eastwood .
Searches were carried out of the area. A 21-year-old man, who needed hospital treatment for an injury to his hand during the incident, was arrested on suspicion of affray. He was subsequently released on conditional bail while the investigation continues. High-visibility reassurance patrols have been stepped up in the area, as detectives work to identify the others believed to have been involved in the incident.
To assist them with their ongoing inquiries, detectives are urging anyone who saw what happened or any drivers who may have captured dashcam footage relating to the incident to get in touch. Detective Sergeant Charlotte Henson, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "I’d like to reassure the public that we will take robust action against any individuals who carry and use weapons to cause harm and we will do everything we can to take action against those who impact on the safety of others.
Anyone who has any information regarding the fight is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 451 of April 19, 2024, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
