Piedmont is adding cameras to four more intersections after installing cameras at the intersection of Oakland and Grand avenues in 2021, Chief of Police Jeremy Bowers told SFGATE. The locations of the new cameras were determined by looking at crime data, according to a 2021 report from the city administrator. The selected intersections are “primary routes historically taken by individuals engaged in criminal activity,” the report states.
