'We will never stop seeking justice': Mother asks for leads in son's homicide

Austin police provided an update in the ongoing homicide investigation of 24-year-old Cristian Rangel, whose body was found in a field five months ago.Rangel wa

Rangel was last seen on April 8 entering a white GMC Terrain at a Walmart parking lot in southwest Austin. Surveillance footage shows him attempting to exit the vehicle as it sped away.and charged with tampering with a human corpse, a second-degree felony. She is currently out on bond.Despite Wooldridge's arrest, police say the investigation remains active.

"We will never stop seeking justice for him," said Misty Moon, Rangel's mother, in a statement. "To anyone who may be holding on to information, our family asks from the depths of a broken heart, please come forward." The family is offering an additional $9,000 reward on top of the $1,000 offered by Capital Area Crime Stoppers for information leading to an arrest.
