Spain quarantine rules: The businesses fearing for their futures
The bars and restaurants which line the square in Villamartin had begun to breathe a sigh of relief.
For the businesses around the plaza though, the reality was the rule change was not just ruining their summer holidays. It has the potential to cripple their livelihoods too. But Spain's rising cases are mainly confined to certain areas - notably, Catalonia and the ever-popular tourist destination, Barcelona - leading the country's Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez to describe the Spain-wide order as"unjust".
Near Cáceres, a Unesco heritage spot in the west of Spain, the feeling of confusion is just as strong.
