In the current cost of living crisis that is affecting many people across the UK, bargain shops are needed like never before. We went to a New Basford Wholesale Goods store and here’s what Community Reporter, Keimae Blake, found…
The store, which was pretty much empty when I arrived, had a little bit of everything. From tinned goods, to toiletries, alcohol, freezer foods and more, I left happy as I spent less than a tenner.Walking around the store, I saw many bargains. A large box of 500G Kellogg's Crunchy Nut cereal was £1.99. In Tesco, the same box of cereal is £3.30 without a Clubcard and £2.50 with one.
For those wanting to stock up for Christmas, cases of Distant Wine for just £6.99 were well stocked. Jambons however, have alcohol sale times which are Monday-Saturday 9AM-6PM, Saturday 9AM-5PM and Sunday, 10AM-4PM.
