Yesterday’s cold brought a less humid airmass to the Valley. Enjoy the break because it doesn’t last. Humidity ramps back up. In fact, it turns quite steamy midweek.
Thanks to a passing cold front, we went from dew points in the 70s yesterday, to the 60s today. There could be some 50s later as drier air continues to work across the area. It remains hot with temperatures topping out in the low 90s under a mix of clouds and sunshine. Winds are light. Tonight, mostly clear skies, sticky with lows in the low 70s. The heat and humidity ramps back up heading into the week.
A warm front will lift through overnight, which means dew points return to the 70s, so the steamy feel returns. It is much hotter in the mid-90s but once again feeling closer to 100° or hotter. With the heat and humidity, we could see isolated storms pop during the afternoon Tuesday. A cold front comes in midweek brings a little better chance for scattered storms. It remains hot near 90-degrees.
