Tamara Malas recently launched a visually stunning campaign alongside a new collection from her namesake brand.

, the models for this campaign were thoughtfully cast in order to showcase the new pieces from the collection on larger bodies. “I personally have experienced the power of representation, and how good it feels to see yourself represented in aspirational imagery,” says Malas. “Season after season it has always been a priority for me to include a wide variety of sizes in our campaigns. Every single style from our newest collection is available in every size on our size chart from six to 32.

Malas says that before she started the company in 2018 she had worked in fashion for over six years. None of the brands she worked with, however, made clothing in her size. The company launched with sizes 14 through 32, and slowly expanded to add smaller sizes. “I felt it would be important and super rewarding to contribute to my own community,” says Malas.

When it comes to fit, Malas says being a smaller brand has granted her team the “luxury of not having to rush through things as important as development.” She continues, “One of the coats in our new collection was being worked on and developed for over a year. We typically go through three rounds of fittings in a variety of sizes to ensure quality and consistency throughout the size chart.”

Malas says she’s always looking for ways to be even more inclusive and break the typical rules and boundaries. “We have plans to extend the size chart even further in the near future. The bottom line is we want to make clothes for every body.”
