The Winter Food Market at Bents is open 12pm to 5pm on Monday and Tuesday, 12pm to 8pm Wednesday to Friday, 11am to 7pm on Saturday and 11am to 4pm on Sunday
As the festive period looms many of us will be heading to some of the garden centres which put on incredible Christmas displays.
"And given Bents' reputation as, let's just say, quite a pricey establishment, I'd say £9.99 for fish and chips was pretty reasonable - especially given the portion sizes. We got two lots of those, one with curry sauce, which cost an extra £1.29, and my daughter went for the sausage and chips, priced £6.99.
"There's a seating area in front of the van - which regulars will be pleased to hear is staying as an extra food outlet at the Glazebury garden centre and not just for Christmas - but we were able to sit at one of the cosy twinkling wooden huts in the larger market area, which is also dog friendly. "I have to say the 'traditional' one, with sugar and lemon, looked and tasted a little miserable and not quite worthy of the £4.99 price tag. I know there are far more exciting toppings to choose from, but you could hardly taste the lemon and sugar at all.
