The Dallas Morning News recommends in the race for Frisco ISD Board of Trustees Place 6.
Two qualified candidates are hoping to win the Place 6 seat on the Frisco ISD board of trustees, which in recent years has been too often distracted by sideshow debates. But voters should elect Salas, 48, who showed a greater grasp of issues facing this large North Texas district of 66,000 students. Salas has obviously done her homework, and in our interview with us was able to quickly cite budget, teacher retention and other statistics with positive enthusiasm.
Kaiser, 44, also a district parent, rightly was concerned about teacher retention, saying he left Frisco ISD after 14 years for “career advancement” in Plano. His insider perspective on the challenges facing faculty and students would be valuable on the board. He also has served on several Frisco ISD committees..
