Temperatures in the San Fernando, San Gabriel and Santa Clarita valleys as well as the Inland Empire and Orange County could reach triple digits.

During this month’s historic heat wave, employees at Amazon’s largest West Coast air freight facility were conducting their own workplace temperature checks.The heat advisories and excessive heat warnings for the Los Angeles County coast expired Tuesday evening, said Todd Hall, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Oxnard. He added that coastal areas should be a few degrees cooler than the previous day.

An excessive heat warning remains in effect until 8 p.m. Wednesday for the Inland Empire, inland Orange County and the lower desert areas, according to the National Weather Service in San Diego. The Orange County coast and the San Diego County coast and valleys are under a heat warning until 8 p.m. Wednesday.
