Exclusive: Mission: Impossible 7 star Pom Klementieff details how Christopher McQuarrie's collaborative process led to her unique character creation.
Though having a set plan for his story and characters, Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One star Pom Klementieff reveals the very collaborative process Christopher McQuarrie has for creating his characters. Klementieff is starring in the upcoming sequel as Paris, a French assassin tasked with taking down Tom Cruise's Ethan Hunt by her boss, and the movie's main antagonist, Esai Morales' Gabriel.
I mean, it's so different. What drew me to the character is just Christopher McQuarrie and Tom Cruise. Whatever character they want me to play, we would have found something cool to do. But actually, their process is the opposite [of the] usual. They just cast the actor, and then they build the character around the actor's abilities and whatever the actor brings to the table too. It's ongoing conversations, and we just create it together.
