Alberto is here, and it’s two days ahead of the average date we would see our first named stormTropical Storm Alberto is here, and it will pack a punch for parts of Texas and Mexico, bringing rain and coastal flooding to Texas, and possible mudslides to parts of Mexico.Now, onto system number 2 that COULD bring us some much needed rain.
This system holds very low potential for development, but regardless of development, this system is beginning to move into our area. Already, we’re seeing some pop-up showers move onshore, with very breezy conditions, and a high rip current risk outside. The showers moved in this morning for some of you, and are still moving in- BUT they are not ruining anyone’s day. They move quickly, so wait it out for a few minutes and you should be fine.
Thursday and Friday are the days to watch, as the showers encompass more of our area, and winds gusts continue to pick up.Today at home, we can expect highs in the 80′s and 90′s and some morning and showers are going to pop up for a few of you.
