Syed Nasir Shah says the family still doesn't know how 19-year-old Syed Sheraz Ahmed died in his car outside a Saskatoon gym on Oct. 6.

Nasir said when he tried to flag the suspicious bank transactions to police, he was told he had to make a separate fraud complaint, unconnected to their son’s death.
“We know that it’s not out of the possibilities, but when those transactions and rejected calls, when we put those in context, it is not a normal, natural death.
