‘We don’t want people to needlessly kill them’: Texas park officials urge people not to kill rattlesnakes
. The danger comes when they are either surprised or cornered. Instead of attacking the snake, park officials urge people to instead allow it to retreat.
My husband almost died from a rattlesnake bite a rattlesnake is different than the kind of animal you see on the road and I can tell you for sure if my husband saw a rattlesnake curled up ready to strike he would shoot it. I think it’s pretty wild that people on here are taking the side of a snake as opposed to a police officer who is trained to ascertain physical threats to his life.
