of white supremacy. All of them are products of a system intent on oppressing the entire Black race. Our oppression is layered. Queerness is doubly affected by the reigns of white supremacy. So, if we are not fighting for Black trans lives, we are not fighting for Black lives at all.
Trans-led initiatives and collectives are at work to abolish jails, prevent new facilities from opening, provide books to prisoners, or to provide some form of bail out assistance for protestors. Trans women put their very lives at risk simply by showing up at protests to defend the lives of the same men that find them disposable.
