President Cyril Ramaphosa says it will be quite a challenge keeping the lights on when the temperatures plummet as this is when we use more electricity.

DURBAN - President Cyril Ramaphosa says it's going to be a cold and dark winter.

Ramaphosa was speaking during a visit to KwaZulu-Natal as the party tries to regain lost ground ahead of the 2024 elections. He says it will be quite a challenge keeping the lights on when the temperatures plummet as this is when we use more electricity.He says the Electricity Minister is working hard to solve the problem.

"We are not the only country in the world that is struggling with electricity, many other countries around the world have got one or some energy generation challenge," he said.
