Zortman added that the Board is currently assessing both internal and external candidates for Peacock’s successor and that Peacock will remain with the company to ensure a smooth transition. Reflecting on his tenure, Peacock stated, "Serving our members has been my greatest honor. I am continually inspired by our teammates who fulfill our mission and exceed expectations when our members need us most. I am thankful for the trust millions of military families place in us to help them achieve financial security."
A committed advocate for the military community, Peacock was instrumental in founding Face the Fight™, an initiative aimed at reducing veteran suicide, now backed by over 200 organizations. During periods of potential government shutdowns, USAA provided affected members with no-interest loans and payment relief options.
