Wawa Day 2023 is almost here, and the store intends to celebrate things this year by day-brightening celebrate customers.
,” the anniversary holds some pretty sweet treats for customers, plus some something special for those with a penchant for brightening days.According to a company press release, Wawa has collected various stories from customers about people they’ve deemed “Day Brighteners.”
“Think a local store throwing a birthday party for a beloved customer,” reads the release. “Or an associate hand-delivering a customer their favorite soup while they’re ill. Or an associate finding a baby formula in the middle of a formula shortage and driving an hour to drop it off at a customer’s houses .”
Those people, Wawa explains, are these aforementioned “Day Brighteners,” and the deeds they do will be shared this upcoming Wawa Day. These do-gooders — both customers and Wawa employees — will also get presented with special gift baskets to recognize them for their actions. Wawa will also donate $50 to the Children’s Miracle Network for every story received .
“Every year, Wawa Day gives us a chance to honor our heritage and the journey that has taken us from a single convenience store in 1964 to close to 1,000 stores with countless customers connections 59 years later,” says Wawa CEO, Chris Gheysens. “This year, we are excited to honor the special role our associates play in our customers’ lives by capturing these incredible stories and making them a focal point of our Wawa Day festivities.
