Police believe the crew of thieves was traveling in a Mercedes Benz.
State police are investigating reports of thieves going car-to-car in the early morning and stealing items from them—and two vehicles, too, on Sept. 26 in Shewsbury Township in York County.
The suspects wore hooded sweatshirts, masks and jeans and were seen opening unlocked car doors in the area of 1700 Russet Farm Drive, according to camera footage. When the group found an unlocked car, they rummaged around inside, police said. At around the same time as the Shrewsbury Township vehicle break-ins, the Southern Regional Police Department reported break-ins too, police said.
