The coronation weekend will be full of fun activities for families to take part in around Watford.
Children can explore the town centre and head out on a trail looking for 10 hidden letters in shop windows that spell out a secret word.It won’t be as easy as you may think to find all the letters because many shop windows will be decorated with coronation drawings. Hand the entry form back in at The Beech House once you and your search party have completed the trail.Those daring explorers that find all 10 missing letters, spell out the secret word and hand in their entry form, will be sent an online certificate to crown them as a Town Centre Trail King or Queen.
In 1946, Cassiobury Park hosted the Herts Show and had a very famous guest attend – the then Princess Elizabeth.Later, as The Queen of England she went on to visit Watford a number of times throughout her reign, including visiting Watford Museum.
