The Waterloo Greenway Conservancy and the City of Austin are progressing with the second phase of their master plan to improve walkability and connectivity between Lady Bird Lake and Waterloo Park. The project includes the construction of three new bridges, linking the trail to Rainey Street and the downtown Lance Armstrong Bikeway, aiming to alleviate downtown congestion and enhance recreational opportunities. Additionally, the project focuses on ecological restoration, addressing erosion and improving water quality along Waller Creek.
