PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on May 16 said that business tycoon Manuel V. Pangilinan has agreed to restore water supply in Cagayan de Oro.
The President said he has talked to Pangilinan, who owns the Cagayan de Oro Bulk Water Inc. through Metro Pacific Water, about COBI's plan to stop providing water to the Cagayan de Oro Water District over its failure to settle a debt amounting to P470 million.'We talked to Mr. Manny Pangilinan of Cagayan de Oro Bulk Water Inc.
'We will not allow the people of Cagayan de Oro to be denied their right to adequate, clean and safe water supply,' he added.In the same speech, Marcos announced the P13 billion expansion project to convert the Laguindingan Airport into an international airport.
