In the U.S, nearly three quarters of Americans are concerned about access to clean and safe water, and an even higher figure are concerned about its availability. Ecolab’s senior vice president and chief sustainability officer, Emilio Tenuta, said the study highlights how water scarcity is “a critical issue that must be addressed” in an interview.

“There has also been a significant increase in the awareness campaigns and educational efforts going on around the world in terms of the importance of conservation.”
