DOTHAN, Ala. - Wallace Community College baseball team are set to make the trip up north to Oxford, Alabama as they will represent the number one seed in the 2024 Alabama Community College Conference Division II Baseball Tournament.
The Govs, who will also enter the tournament currently ranked number one in the National Junior College Athletic Association for the first time in program history, are 40-6 on the season and 28-2 in conference play. Head coach Ryan Ihlee’s team, the reigning ACCC Coach of the Year in his second season leading Wallace, is looking to improve on last year’s state runner-up finish in the ACCC tournament for the Govs.
The team will hold a press conference on Monday, April 22 at 2 p.m. to discuss the upcoming trip to Choccolocco Park and set the stage for what they hope will be a successful week for the top-ranked Govs.and receive the latest local news and weather straight to your email every morning.
