With the final seconds of regulation ticking away, Purdue guard Braden Smith drove toward the basket and put up a contested shot that bounced off the backboard and the front of the rim. The Longhorns only trailed by four going into the halftime break, using that momentum to apply pressure on Purdue throughout the second half.
