WATCH: Russell Brand (rustyrockets) blasted the ManhattanDA ahead of a possible Trump arrest. 'You can’t claim that you’re going to arrest Trump and then not arrest Clinton,' Brand said. 'Government is founded now on corruption.'

During his Stay Free with Russell Brand show on Monday, Brand compared Democratic Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s investigation into Trump’s alleged hush money payments made to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016 and the Federal Election Commission’s fining of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's 2016 campaign over the infamous Steele dossier.

“We have to recognize that a lot of interests are being bought out,” Brand said. “Government is founded now on corruption. That is the founding principle, isn’t it, that they are funded by, lobbied by, have stocks and shares in corporations that receive favorable treatment and indeed legislation.”CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER

Republican lawmakers also blasted any idea of an indictment of Trump on Monday, promising an investigation into Bragg’s investigation, claiming it was politically motivated. House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan announced that he and other House Republicans sent a letter to Bragg, saying they “want to see the communications that have taken place between the federal Justice Department and your district attorney’s office there in Manhattan.”
