Sgt. Grant said this was the first time he completed a food delivery while on duty.
A George Mason University Police Sergeant delivered a DoorDash order after the arrest of a food delivery driver on an outstanding warrant, officials said. Around 4:30 p.m. officers said they got a hit from a surveillance camera on campus indicating the license plate of a passing vehicle was associated with a person with an outstanding felony warrant in Fairfax County.
Officers responded to the location near 4393 University Drive and quickly found and stopped the vehicle.Wolf was working as a DoorDash driver and had been in the process of picking up food from a restaurant on campus and delivering it locally at the time of his arrest, according to officials.“Once I knocked on the door two of the people that answered the door immediately recognized me from some community outreach events,” said Sgt. Grant.
