The new cast members with Cleveland connections each got a chance to shine in the show’s second episode of the season.

Molly Kearney and Marcello Hernandez will be joining the cast of "Saturday Night Live" for the show's upcoming 48th season starting October 1.CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Blink and you probably missed Molly Kearney and Marcello Hernandez’s debuts last week on “Saturday Night Live.” But the new cast members with Cleveland connections each got a chance to shine in the show’s second episode of the season.

“ Lorne told me, ‘Don’t do too much in the first couple shows. Let the audience discover you,” Hernandez tells the audience.“He told me to just be me,” Walker says.“On Day One, Lorne pulled me into his office and said, ‘Molly there’s only one reason you’re here. I need you to kill Vladimir Putin,” the Cleveland native reveals before brandishing an untraceable gun.

Hernandez, the John Carroll graduate, shows up again later on the “Weekend Update” desk to talk about the MLB Playoffs, specifically about Latin baseball players. Hernandez is half Cuban and half Dominican.
