According to the sheriff's office, Deputy Matthew Camp immediately entered the water, swam to the child and brought him safely back to shore.
The boy was evaluated by medical personnel at the scene before being reunited with his family. Authorities said he is doing well. The sheriff's office released this edited body-worn camera video of the rescue, saying it highlights the teamwork and professionalism of the responding agencies while protecting the child's privacy.
